Overview

Once you have purchased or imported a phone number, you need to assign it to a specific voice agent to handle incoming calls. This guide explains how to manage assignments.
Note: Assigning phone numbers requires an active subscription.

Locating the Phone Number

  1. Navigate to the Phone Numbers section from the main application sidebar.
  2. Ensure you are on the main Phone Numbers tab (the default view).
  3. Find the phone number you wish to assign in the table listing your numbers. You can use the search or sort functions if needed.

Opening the Assignment Menu

  1. Locate the More options icon (...) at the far right end of the row for the desired phone number.
  2. Click the icon to open the action menu.
  3. Select Assignment from the dropdown list.

Assigning the Agent

A Call Assignment dialog window will appear.
  1. The dialog will display the phone number you selected.
  2. You will see a list or dropdown of your currently active Voice Agents.
  3. Select the Voice Agent you want to handle calls coming into this phone number.
  4. Click the Save button (or similar confirmation button) to apply the assignment.
Note: Typically, a phone number can only be assigned to one voice agent at a time for handling inbound calls through this interface. To change the assignment, repeat these steps and select a different agent. To unassign, there might be an option within the same dialog or a separate ‘Unassign’ action in the main menu.

Confirming the Assignment

After saving, the dialog will close, and the main phone numbers table will refresh. Look at the Assignment column for the phone number you just configured. It should now display the name of the Voice Agent you selected.

Conclusion

The phone number is now successfully assigned. Incoming calls to this number will be directed to the chosen voice agent for processing according to its configuration.
